Congratulations to an anonymous poster. Thalia is the name of a Greek muse responsible for comedy and and a form of poetry called Idyllic poetry dedicated to daily life, rather than heroic epics. Because so many names in the game are from the Mediterranean region, Thalia is a good fit.
Some fun runners up:
Alyssandra
Karine
Kylie
Sunna
Parley (I consider this to be a close second.)
---
I may use those names for some other characters in the future. Thanks for the suggestions!
Recette disappoint.
ReplyDeleteI love the hell out of Recettear. however, I'm also paranoid about copywrite infringement issues. Even if the devs are totally cool I don't even want to give someone an excuse to tell me that the many, many long hours I've sunk into making this game are invalidated because one asshole doesn't like me using a name. I can and do insert oblique references to things, but I cannot and will not include direct lifts of things from copywritten works. The game as a whole is a parody of Overlord and is not for profit, but the word itself is not in the game and the plot is significantly different partially so it can't be argued on that angle either.
ReplyDeleteIt's an extremely important issue for me, obviously. I'll work to add in oblique references to things as the game goes on.
Thanks for the reply, completely understand. =)
DeleteThalia is a good name I liked ^^
ReplyDeleteIf it was from this long list with muses and other mythological beings it was me.
ReplyDeleteI wrote that in the later discussion too.
