For those unaware I'll present a quick summary of recent events.
1: Google announced that blogger would be doing their best to hide all NSFW blogs, and prevent any new ones from being made.
2: This got everyone really freaking mad.
3: Google almost immediately realized the trouble they caused and caved. Thus, my blog will not have to move.
Just to note I was never in any real danger. There were many of other places I could have gone. First and foremost I could have just gone to the BadKittyGames site and made a blog there; I had already discussed it with NoMoshing. There were also plenty of other alternatives including just making my own website. Even so this means I don't have to waste time moving things, and that is good.
So success! Congrats, the status quo is maintained. This was an entirely pointless venture all 'round.
Well not pointless. You were a statistic amongst the many that were against the move and that helped to ultimately influence the decision.
ReplyDeleteHooray for peer pressure lol
ReplyDeleteIt's not peer pressure, it's delicious sweet moolah pressure. Do you realise how much $$$ google makes out of the all the porn content it hosts ?
DeleteThey didn't even realise it themselves, apparently. Needless to say getting a sudden drop in revenue was a swift enough kick in the gonads and they doubled back, but some damage was done anyway.
Not sure where best to ask this so here will do. Where is nashe's new lab?. Got the milk and potato and old potion but the tower mistress does not say where you need to take them to.
ReplyDeleteNvm. Found it. Don't know how I kept missing that room haha
DeleteFor some reason I feel this was all just a distraction that Google was using for some devious reason.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a big coincidence that they started this when the whole "net neutrality" thing was happening, and after the ruling they suddenly give up.
Maybe I'm over thinking things and my tin foil hat is overheating....
there was supposed to be an update yesterday right?
ReplyDeleteIt'll be next Monday. I pushed it back a bit so I can get more stuff in.
DeleteOh really, any chance of a hint or must we pine away for a few more days?
DeleteSo glad I remembered to check back up on this. I completely forgot about it for several months. Is there a changelog somewhere for easy access or will I have to scour through the archives to find what was added and whatnot? Because I'm fine with doing that.
