Boat Scene Progressing

Sorry for the lack of update last week. It seems I was much more sick than I thought I would be, and between work and passing out in bed I had no energy for anything else.

Currently I'm working on a boat scene. Unfortunately I do not have the budget to include a full musical number, but it will be a fun part of the game. The mission that sends you from one continent to the other is finished.

There's also been some art finished, and all of it is good! You'll love it when it's up, I may post a preview of some of it next week.

I have decided that Skeletons have gotten old, so I have decided to change the blog so that you will get the full guidance of the Chinese Legalist philosopher Shang Yang. He is one of my favorite philosophers. Yes, the fake caption is essentially what his philosophy boils down to.

But to give 'em one last shebang, I have created a story out of a series of entirely unrelated skeleton themed images.

Enjoy.

  2. Nice to hear work continues
Just a few questions that came to mind how much money would it take to actually put everything you want to add to the game in the final version? I know donations are trickling in but there is never a solid "game will have all my planned extras at X" amount so we get an idea of how far along the track it is

And will there be choices down the track like going back on your word with the princesses and enslaving them or choosing to betray people that will make small changes at the end?

These are just things that came to mind after trying to last demo and reading the updates on the site

  3. 1: I do not currently have a timeline.
2: The completed funds are a total of $2810, which you can see in the meter on the right. I haven't updated that in a while but it isn't much higher than it was.
3: There's no going back on my word with that. The princesses can be enslaved but that will be well after conquering Sayda.

    1. ah cool, I wasn't sure if that was going to be the final total or next total
I meant the overmind going back on his word not you as well

thanks for all the hard work!

  4. I don't really see the Overmind betraying either of the princesses, given that whoever he doesn't enslave is at least half wishing he would by the end of the arc. Given time its entirely possible she'll ask. Which makes me wonder if the Overmind will actually end up brainwashing Rubati, or we'll have a humorous scene where she insists the Overmind is brainwashing her despite him doing nothing of the sort.

    1. So she follows us around insisting that she's been brainwashed and that she has no choice but to let the overmind do whatever he wants with her? That's hilarious, especially when others don't believe her and they get into arguments about it. Plus, she could always "find out" if character development needs to happen.

  6. I adore the story and I'm glad you could work on the game.

I did copy-paste the link to the image of No Fun to embellish a comment made on a story where Batman refuses to accept someone could just be trying the make the best of inadvertent presence in the DC Universe.

I made sure to name Shang Yang and mention the plaque's significance so I hope I wasn't out of line. The gist of it was that Oracle/Babs should use said image the next time "Chirpy" gets too overzealous.
